After a good summer, we've also had a nice autumn (sorry to all those who've been stuck in the UK!) and we've had the chance to do some more really nice walking. We had a particularly good day recently on the Point de Marcelly (top most photo) with a superb walk/scramble on the ridge and amazing views. We also accompanied Marcel (aka "ski hire man" and ESF instructor) to stay in his summer chalet in the Vallon de Sales (the upper Vallon de Sales is in the bottom most photo). Marcel will be leading ski tours this winter which will include a one night stay in his fantastic little chalet, so it was good to check it out. We were impressed by the wood burning stove, and a considerable quantity of 'aperos' were downed (aperitifs) before a great fondu.
